ABOUT ME
My Mission
HEY LYNBROOK CLASS OF 2024!
My name is Shreya Arun and as many of you now, I am running for Freshman class secretary! As secretary this year, I want to be the liaison between our student body (which is you guys) and our class officers.
This means, I want to keep you all updated at all times! My goal is bring our class closer together and take everyone by surprise by showing them that our class is every bit as awesome and capable as we know we are.
My experience as a middle school student body treasure in seventh grade has really shown me how to be smart, collaborative, and understanding, but mostly passionate about running this year. The most important value that I have is my integrity. I demonstrate honesty and trust in all my actions to establish credibility as a leader and I plan on using this skill this year to bridge the gap between our officers and our students.
MY EXPERIENCE
Tutoring Youth
Tutoring is one of my past experiences and is also something that I'm currently doing. I have been tutoring for the past few months and I tutored a bit last year which really giving me experience on how to work with people and how to have the patience to collaborate with others. Especially when you're working with youth, you really develop the level of understanding and learn how to talk to people with respect even though they are younger than you. Tutoring has overall given me a lot of insight on how to talk to people whether they are older or younger.
